Thankful to be celebrated!

Today is my birthday. We just got home from Discipleship Group and I've just felt so much of God's presence around me through my husband and our Discipleship Group family.

At Dgroup we eat and spend time in fellowship before we hit God's word. As I sat on the dining, Annabelle comes out with this ridiculously adorable green cupcake that had a star shaped candle. They all sang happy birthday and I thought it was over. Enough embarassement and doting on me in one day. I don't do well with that. But then Mike Hanafee decided that it would be a good idea to go around the room and have each person tell me why they love me. Oh how it filled my heart and also embarassed me. I'm not one to seek attention and I don't enjoy having all the attention on me but God knew that my soul needed it. It was at that moment that I was reminded of God's really beautiful love for me and a reminder of His saving power.

Thank you Lord for saving me to be a warrior for Your Kingdom. Please continue to equip me and use me so that I have the courage to proclaim the Gospel in every area of my life.

And a bonus, my thoughtful husband gave me the sweetest gift of all! 2 pairs of toms - one of them signed by everyone in our Discipleship Group!
